Relationship/Partner Therapy

Relationships are some of the most rewarding things we can experience in life, and they are incredibly hard work. Many of us show up in our relationships without the right tools for success through no fault of our own. We simply repeat what we have seen done before in life. Maybe you were raised by primary providers who struggled to communicate, or maybe you and your partner were raised with different standards and expectations.

There are many, many reasons why we might struggle to get along well with the people we love, and some of these include: poor role modeling, divorce, childhood trauma, medical/mental health concerns, stress, life transitions, cultural differences and generational differences. It could be that many of these apply to you, or literally none of them. Whatever the situation, I am excited to work with you to help you enhance your communication with your partner using a solid foundation of love and respect. If you have a history of trust violations in your relationship, we can work to rebuild the trust you will need to sustain a healthy long-term relationship with your partner as well.

Coparenting Counseling services are also available for people who have decided the best thing for their family is to parent from separate homes. This service is focused on building a collaborative approach to parenting as peers and friends, a transition from the romantic influence we have come to expect in our intimate partnerships.

Sessions build over 8-12 weeks and address:

1. parenting agreements

2. respectful communication

3. dual home standards

4. building collaborative support for different rules

5. understanding

6. blended families

These sessions are rooted in centering the best interests of children who are learning how to thrive in environments that can feel inconsistent, foreign and opposite of each other. By giving you the tools to communicate consistently with one another and your children, you will learn how to build out a standard and reasonable expectations for one another that can immediately and dramatically reduce conflict if implemented consistently.

These sessions are purchased in bulk, once you have completed the initial 8 week commitment you can add sessions by week based on your needs.
